New website launch

I am excited to have you here for my new website launch.  Some of you may already know me, but for those of you might have landed here through a search, or may have heard about me through a friend, I would love to share a little about myself and let you get to know me a little better!

Where I’ve been…

I grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and still have strong ties to the area. Dayton is where I met my husband, during his first assignment with the United States Air Force. Over the years, we have made a total of nine moves across all four corners of the country. We were lucky to have lived in some pretty great places! Arizona and Florida were two of my favorites because I prefer warm weather and sunshine!

I have had a life-long interest in photography. I earnestly began pursuing the possibility of creating my own studio after my first child was born. That was almost twenty years ago. Since then, lots of trial and error, classes, mentors, and learning and doing have brought me where I am today. Over the last two decades, I have found that I really love photographing weddings, high school seniors, and families. Several of our moves brought us back to the Dayton area, where I met Nick O’Donnell, owner, and operator of 808 Studios Photography. I owe much of my experience and knowledge in the wedding industry to him and am so grateful to have the opportunity to shoot weddings for 808 Studios.

Where I’m headed…

As much as I have loved our military life, it has not been without challenges. One of the most difficult has been trying to start and restart a business every two to four years. With the military chapter of our lives behind us, we have chosen to join my mom and sisters in Lexington, Kentucky. Lexington has felt like home for some time. Most of my family has migrated here, and every time we celebrate family get-togethers and holidays, it has been here in Lexington. I am excited that I finally have a permanent place to call home and look forward to meeting and serving this community.
